The call to industry to push towards early compliance comes in the wake of planned drills and exercises by MPA from April and July 2004 to verify the effectiveness of the security plans of Singapore flag ships and port facilities. MPA has appointed eight organisations to be Recognised Security Organisations for Singapore flag ships and seven RSOs for port facilities. Ships visiting Singapore will be subject to similar checks.
